Hiking enthusiasts will find the Masca gorge Descent to be one of the most beautiful routes in the entire archipelago. The Caserio de Masca will be our starting point where we will also enjoy some of the best examples of traditional Canarian architecture. From here we go into the ravine, whose huge walls of stone - according to legend - were used as a pirate hideout.
The downhill walk takes about three hours, surprising us every step of the way with an absolutely breathtaking landscape that has been formed by the elements, both hostile and beautiful.
Once we approach the end of the descent, we'll begin to hear the crashing sounds of the waves, which gives us a preview of the beach that awaits us at the end of the trail. We'll then have a refreshing and regenerating swim surrounded by the stunning cliffs of Los Gigantes, and after a little rest we board a boat headed towards the Puerto de Los Gigantes. Take in the beauty of the cliffs, but also be sure to look at the sea. Dolphin sightings are very common in these waters!
Descend this natural canyon and soak up the uniqueness of the landscape. Its deep ravines and gorgeous cliffs are an absolute must-see for serious nature lovers.
Come and see for yourself!
