The Teide is the highest peak in Spain, and to ascend to its crater and watch the sunrise from there is the most spectacular and unforgettable experience that can be lived on the island, as few places can offer that experience just a few minutes from the sea. Therefore, we highly recommend this experience.
The first part of the tour is a hiking trail on a high level (but it is not necessary to be an expert mountaineer). Onset of activity is at 14 pm, and the meeting place is White Mountain. Duration of this part of the tour is approximately 3 to 4 hours, depending on the capacity of the group.
At the end of the afternoon we arrive at Altavista Shelter , at 3,260 meters, where we will rest and prepare some dinner. At the Shelter you can almost touch the stars on one of the best skies in the world. But it should not take you long to go to rest, because the next morning we will get up at 4:30 and get back on track for the known path of Telesforo Bravo, for almost two hours, to reach our destination: the crater of Teide volcano.
A magical experience that will leave you speechless and at the same time with a sense of satisfaction for reaching the top. It is also important to note that you will be able to enjoy during sunrise the majestic shadow cast by the Teide on the Atlantic Ocean , a phenomenon known as the Shadow of Teide.
The descent will be made by foot, so you can visit the ice cave.

We recommended that you bring warm clothing and footwear for the mountains, even in summer. Cut out what isn't necessary so not to overload your backpack. Keep in mind that, once there, you can buy water, soft drinks and hot drinks. Protect yourself against sunstroke, with sunglasses, hat and sunscreen. And don't forget to have water during the ascent.
The meeting point for this route is at the foot of White Mountain on TF 21 (Km. 40.7) road.
